Requirements;
-WV Firefighter Level 1
-WV Firefighter Level 2
-WV EMT or Paramedic (does not have to be a current certification)
-Minimum of 5 years experience in the fire service is mandatory
-Minimum of 2 years in office as an officer at Ceredo Volunteer Fire Department
Duties;
-Be the general manager of the Fire Department, and is the officer responsible to the administration of the City of Ceredo, WV
-Perside ar all regular and special meetings of the department
-Appoint all committees and be ex-officio member of the same
-Have the right to call special meetings of the officers or ACTIVE members of the department
-Be responsible for the assignment of members to their duties
-Appoint a Safety Officer, EMS Director, Training Officer, and Dive Officer
-Be responsible for preparing the annual budget and for the proper expenditure of funds as described in the fiscal policy of the department
-Furnish all members with a copy of the By-Laws, and Constitution, Fire Department policy and of any written general orders regarding the operation of the department
-Prepare an annual report of department operations and present it to the the department at a regular business meeting
-Be in overall charge of firefighting operations assisted by other officers
